Mission Statement - Overview

The Natural Resource Education Outreach is a non-profit collaborative network of the Pacific Northwest's natural resource businesses and industries. The foundation's purpose is to promote understanding about natural resources and related industries by providing K-12 teachers and non-formal educators real-world, hands-on educational programs and professional development opportunities that focus in the importance of the Inland Northwest natural resources and instructional excellence.

Outreach Goals

Provide high quality professional development opportunities for educators highlighting nature and role of the Pacific Northwest's natural resources and natural resource industries

Actively engage teachers and students in relevant and stimulating experiences in the areas of literacy, math, science, social studies, technology, and environmental education related to the area's natural resources.

Offer expertise on improving curriculum, instruction , and assessment related to natural resources topics and themes that meet the academic standards for each state in the Pacific Northwest.

Serve as a clearing house of information, instruction resources and technical assistant about the region's natural resources.
